emilie inc photography is a boutique photojournalism studio based in Portland, Maine, founded in 2003 by owner photographer Emilie Sommer. The emilie inc. team includes three photographers, a videographer and a designer. Emilie has photographed more than 250 weddings and garnered local and national attention for her imagery, recognizable brand and reputation for providing first class quality service. She earned a degree in photojournalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University and worked as a photographer and photo editor for USA Today and the Washington Post. Emilie has also founded the Roots Workshop, News Wedding Photographers and the Pink Initiative 501(c)(3) non-profit to raise funds for breast cancer research, awareness and education.
