Today’s wedding tip comes from an expert advice article featured on my Kate Parker Wedding by Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire wedding beauty, Joya Beauty. Check out this great wedding tip below on getting vitamin C skin treatments before the wedding.
One Week Before the Big Day:
Consider a lovely Vitamin C treatment to make your skin smooth and glowing. Treat yourself and your party, especially the Moms, to a treatment for minimizing those fine lines (our Collagen Blanket). At this point, you need help relaxing during this hectic week. We’ll include a facial massage to reduce puffy skin caused by lack of sleep, the salty foods and those late night parties. We will also do your complimentary brow shaping – the final touch to your wedding day look.
We are so excited to share with you a photo shoot by Massachusetts wedding photographer, Relive Photography. This is a great look at some vintage wedding accessories captured by one of our my Kate Parker Wedding members. Check out the pictures below along with an insiders look at the shoot by photographer, Laura Parent.
Laura Parent of Relive Photography:
As a wedding photographer with a Vintage Flair at Relive Photography, I love accessories and especially “Vintage Accessories”. I thought it would be fun to show some different and unique items that can be used during your wedding day. I have just finished a Fashion Photo Shoot to show off these exact items. The bride can not only use these awesome custom made rings but also can use them as gifts for their bridal party. These rings have all been custom made by Wicked Peacock and are all created from antique estate jewelry which means that every one is a unique one of a kind. Also Wicked Peacock is a fabulous designer of Vintage Hair Accessories and Bridal Hair Accessories. Take a look at these items and please feel free to contact me to get a hold of this fabulous designer. Well, here they are!
Big rings are very vintage, especially one’s that resemble broaches.
I love this outfit. A simple high skirt with tights is a great vintage/modern twist.
A birdcage veil with feathers is a great vintage look.
These photo effects are very vintage because of the crinkled looking photograph and the color manipulation.
Today’s wedding tip is from Carey Bunker of Lasso’d Moon Designs! Carey wrote a great expert advice article on my Kate Parker Wedding and she shares some info about the pricing of wedding stationery. Check out her little tip and visit the full expert advice article on my Kate Parker Wedding.
One of the most common questions or concerns I tend to hear about in the wedding industry is why does this cost so much? And while that seems to be asked of every wedding service, I’d like to address the cost of custom stationery and invitations. When you order a custom invitation, your stationer isn’t taking a stock design, dropping in your wording and shipping them off to a printer. Typically, there is an in person meeting if you are close in geography, a flurry of e-mails, rounds of proofs and perhaps a number of phone conversations or in person meetings. This doesn’t even take into account the time your designer might spend on creating or altering graphics to suit your particular wants. So before you even get to printing, your designer could be any where from 3-10 hours into your project.
It’s all things vintage on Wednesdays at my Kate Parker Wedding and adding vintage details to your wedding can make a grand statement. Check out just a few vintage-inspired images from our members. Go to the myKPW Galleries to see more vintage inspirations!

my Kate Parker Wedding State and Budget: Maine and New Hampshire, under $25k
Number of years in business: I’ve been producing, shooting, and editing video for about 8 years now, and I’ve been running my own business for just over two years. It’s been a fun and exciting journey.
Preferred wedding venues/locations/styles: I shoot “cinematic” style . . . I capture the day as it happens and present it in a realistic way, but I look for those creative shots, angles, and editing techniques that make your wedding video fun to watch over and over!
Pricing Information: We always customize our packages based on your needs and what you’re looking for in a finished product. Our packages are reasonably priced and we’d love to work with you to customize a quote that fits into your wedding budget.
What makes you stand out? When all is said and done, you want a video that LOOKS and SOUNDS great, and that captures all of the important moments of your wedding day. We’ll give you that, but we also look for those fun shots, angles, and editing techniques that make your video fun to watch over and over!
What’s the favorite part of your work? I always enjoy meeting with the bride and groom-to-be to discuss their vision for the wedding video, and explaining to them how we’ll achieve what they’re looking for. There are many aspects of video production which people don’t think about, so it’s a lot of fun teaching people about what it is we do, and how we’ll fit into their wedding day.
If you have any spare time, how do you spend it? I enjoy listening to and making music.
Which charity(s) are you donating to and why? I think it’s absolutely awesome that the folks at myKPW are donating to these charities. I only had limited knowledge about each, so filling out my application to become part of the family was a great opportunity to look into each one a bit more… and ultimately, I couldn’t pick a favorite–they’re all great causes which rely on donations. let’s help them out!
