Wedding Tip of the Day by Parrott Design Studio

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Today’s wedding tip comes from my Kate Parker Wedding vendor, Parrott Design Studio!  Rhode Island wedding paper products, Parrott Design Studio, shared a great expert advice article on my Kate Parker Wedding about the importance of wedding programs.  Check out this great tip from the article and visit the full expert advice from Parrott Design Studio at my Kate Parker Wedding.

Parrott Design Studio

Wedding programs allow your guests to follow the ceremony, understand what is happening & why, & it is a keepsake of the day.  Programs come in all shapes & sizes & there is no set format on what your program should look like.  It should work for you & your ceremony & reflect you as a couple.  The key “ingredients” for a program include: your full names, wedding date, city, state, & location of the ceremony, the order of the wedding ceremony including musical selections & the composers & performers, the readings, the source or author, & the readers, wedding party names & their relation to you, your officiant’s name, a thank you note to your parents & guests, & a brief explanation of traditions, rituals, & ethic customs for both religious & secular ceremonies.  You may also wish to honor those who have passed or could not join you by including a memorial.

Massachusetts Wedding Cakes, BellaCakes, in the Vendor Spotlight

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Massachusetts wedding cakes, BellaCakes, is being featured in the vendor spotlight today!  We are very excited to share some insight into BellaCakes from Kristen Livoti, on both a business and personal level.

Number of years in business: Number of years as a chef…15. The shop opened September 2008

Preferred styles or designs: BellaCakes enjoys creating one-of-a-kind designs. From traditional, romantic cakes to sculpted grooms cakes.

Pricing Information: Pricing starts at $4.00 a serving.

What makes you stand out? BellaCakes is a nut-free shop that also offers gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan cakes. There are not many that offer those services. We also excel at the more unusual cakes. Those that are sculpted into a particular shape or design.

What’s the favorite part of your work? I love to make people happy. We will make even the smallest cake. We do not have a price minimum but believe that everyone should have a beautiful cake on their wedding day.

If you have any spare time, how do you spend it? I have a six year old little girl that gets the majority of my free time. I also play with a musical group. We recently returned from Australia on a two week tour.

Which charity(s) are you donating to and why? The Pink Initiative and the JDRF.  I’ve recently lost a parent to cancer and hope that my small donation might stop someone else from going through that.

Wedding Tip of the Day by Joya Beauty

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Today’s wedding tip comes from an expert advice article featured on my Kate Parker Wedding by Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire wedding beauty, Joya Beauty.  Check out this great wedding tip below on getting vitamin C skin treatments before the wedding.

Joya Beauty

One Week Before the Big Day:

Consider a lovely Vitamin C treatment to make your skin smooth and glowing.  Treat yourself and your party, especially the Moms, to a treatment for minimizing those fine lines (our Collagen Blanket). At this point, you need help relaxing during this hectic week.  We’ll include a facial massage to reduce puffy skin caused by lack of sleep, the salty foods and those late night parties.  We will also do your complimentary brow shaping – the final touch to your wedding day look.
